There's a story behind everything. (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?p=47060#post47060)

After jumping from one subject to another, i will go on. When i saw your hairstyle for the first time, a thought crossed my mind. Today i found the name, it`s a flower bud called "Amaryllidaceae". squiggyflop, i assume you like flowers.

Sometimes a photo is worth ten thousand words.

thrive and prosper (http://www.tipp.wutz.org/gallery/Amaryllis)

There are various types. Only you know the hidden secret. ;)

For example: Here (http://www.schmid-gartenpflanzen.de/forum/index.php/fa/1145/0/) or here (http://www.la-palma-tourismus.com/Jacomo/upload/botanischer_garten/.thumb/hakenlilie_-crinum-asiaticum~max600x450@75.jpg) or maybe here (http://www.virtualherbarium.org/JAMAICA/Amaryllidaceae.jpg)?

What do you think? Any alternative suggestion?

So squiggyflop just has to post the instructions here!

I'd call it amaryllis-bun or so, it really looks like the posted pic of an amaryllis bud (and amaryllis-bud-bun sounds quite strange).

im assuming you are talking about this style?

ok lets see if i can explain how to do this..
1* pull hair into a pony somewhere in the middle of the back of your head.
2* twist hair until it naturally starts to bend into a loop... this will be called bend #1
3* now hold bend#1 down while you continue to twist hair now comes the tricky part... instead of letting the hair loop around the bend#1 which would turn it into a cinnabun bend the twisted section the other way. this will be bend#2
4* now tuck the ends from bend#2 under bend#1 and pin your hair as shown in the picture.
5* if your hair is extra long try to make annother bend if its extra extra long then maybe you can loop the extra hair after your 3rd bend around the entire thing.

unfortunatly i cant get my hair into this style anymore since i cut off 2 inches
amaryllis how is this pronounced?
