I've always tried to guess but I stink at that..being that my haur looks wavey soemtimes, and super straight, and sometimes kinda mixed...I just wanted to know who has the closet to me hair.

Maybe someone could make a sticky / list of everyone's codes, organized from 1 to 4? We have a list like that on the Belgian (Raponsje) forum. Hope you can see it. It's called the hairtwin list:
http://raponsje.forumup.be/viewtopic.php?t=571&mforum=raponsje

We have another marker at the very end: D N V (droog, normaal, vet) = D N G (dry, normal, greasy) hair

You have a few.... You can search for them here (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/memberlist.php?do=search). (The mouse that is to go to "Members", "search members", and then chose the advanced search option.)

Are you sure you're a 1b? From your avatar, I'd say you've got a bit more wave then that, maybe 1c-ish.

You can search the members who have listed the same hair type as you, by going to the members section --> click search --> then advanced search --> choose your hair type and do the search --> there were 7 members who had same hair as you. I would have given you direct link but for some reason it doesn't work.

Thats the thing -
Some days My hair looks like this air dried. (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/picture.php?albumid=2109&pictureid=36410)
Or Like this after air dried (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=2109&pictureid=31430)
Each picture looks so different. (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=2109)

I haven't typed my hair since This photo was taken in 2005 (http://homepage.mac.com/annsofie.henriksson/hairtyping/PhotoAlbum18.html)

Morguebabe--I've always thought we might be pretty similar. Mine looks wavy sometimes, straight other times. Check out my hairy album and see what you think? I think yours is thicker, though.

What I do when trying to find people with similar hairtypes is to go through the search function using types similar to mine. I'll try first for 1b/F/ii, but then I might try 1c/F/ii or 1a/F/i/ii or something like that. Sometimes you'll find more things in common with someone who isn't exactly your hairtype than with someone who is. Also, other people can mis-hairtype their hair as well.

Petra, I think your right, my hair seems to mimick yours. Sometimes it looks ultra straight, others pretty wavey. Each time I did the same thing.
Stravey like you said.

In general do you think I am typed right still or should I change it?

I posted a picture a couple of weeks ago and kind of decided on the 1c/2a for me based on suggestions. You could always pick a range to describe you hair. *says the dorky statistician*

Hi Morguebabe my hair is not as long as yours so I don't know how it would behave when it will be, but my hair is a bit similar to yours some days in waviness and straighter others. Last summer the wave came up in my hair more. I have some pics in my album but more in my blog. Close but not exactly.

You can also compare to my hair typing pic in my album. I got a pretty good split on the 1c/2a thing, but I think I'm a little wavier than you. Similarly, it varies from one wash to the next, and all that fun stuff.

Do you have curly baby hairs that stick out, especially when your hair is clean? I tend to see that as being a minimum 1c thing.
