I just came across this lovely pic of a long-haired model (who looks a lot like Lindsey Lohan, don't you think?). I love the length and wow - the body! How do you get body like that?

That is a nice picture. However I am pretty sure that that IS Lindsay Lohan... And if I am right, its very probably hair extensions...
ETA: Oh dear... I feel like such a party pooper... Sorry about that...

Yeah, I think it is Lindsay Lohan. I actually thought the hair looked a little dry. I must be hard to please.

I'm pretty sure it's a weave or extensions.
But I do love the body!

That's hair extensions and photoshop most likely.
And of course good old hairspray, a backcombing comb and a blow dryer were involved in that picture. ;)

Yes that is definetly Lindsay Lohan, and she does wear extensions these days...
Used to have real long hair in the past though.

Uh, is it just me, or does it look like the head was kind of just stuck on there with photoshop? xD;

Yup, that's LiLo. Gee, her hair is long but it looks dry... kind of like mine right now... in need of a deep oil treatment and an SMT or somethin'...

Several people here have said they thought Lohan was wearing extensions. On what is that based? I'm not arguing and you all may be right, it's just of all the celebs I've seen in various tabloids or magazines, her hair has seemed to be long for a long time, and seems to stay consistently long. In other words, she doesn't show up with a bob one minute and waist length hair the next, like Paris or Jessica Simpson. Did Lohan's hair go from really short to really long overnight?
I don't go scouring the tabloid sites or magazines looking for evidence, but her hair has seemed pretty consistent to me. I would have thought that if she did have extensions, her hair would look much thicker, perhaps?

MsBubbles, if you look pictures up, you might noticed the same thing as I. I think it's evident that her hair looks a lot thicker in that picture than what it usually does. Hence the extensions, weave, extra stuff put in. It is very, very common you know to do that for a photo shoot to add more volume.

Is there a healthier way to get that great body?

Yeah, to "eat healthy", "exercise alot", drink enough "water", indulge in creams and lots of photoshop...
Oh wait, you're talking about the body of her hair...

Yes its Lindsay, and just like the song, you get the body from your mama or another family member who has good hair genes.

I was going to say...go on the "hair diet" ie, eat right, drink enough water, and get exercise!
as for the hair, body can be achieved through curling, teasing, and hair spray...after all, they do a lot to hair for a photoshoot that we don't do on a regular basis.

Maybe not just extensions, but photoshopping too. I've been on several sets of Lindsay Lohan movies as an extra or what not and her hair BEFORE makeup is really thin and dry. Her lifestyle with the partying/drinking/drugs doesn't help either, but the transformation is unbelievable when you see her all dolled up!

Yay Mellie:) You have picked a wonderful picture of Lindsay Lohan:)
I love her hair:) I don't know if she has extensions but I believe that her hair is naturally thick as I have seen pictures of her hair from when she was really young:)
Lindsay is so beautiful and she does have a very nice body. I read that she loves to do situps:)

Very nice length, and I'm also assuming that there are extensions going on. She may have long hair in real life, but they would still probably add extensions the length or a tad bit longer than her actual hair, just to make it poofier for a photo shoot. It's pretty common even for celeb long-hairs to use extensions when modeling. :)
I, for one, would definitely feel relieved that all of the blowfrying and poofing was being done to extensions, and not my real hair!!!

I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. I didn't mean that picture that the OP posted a link to, I mean just her regular, out in the street paparazzi shots of her going about her business (or trying to!). The photo linked to by the OP here is obviously embellished either in person or post-photo-shoot.
I'll gladly be educated on how to spot extensions more than I already can. I tend to assume any celeb or anybody on TV from sit-com actresses to Extra! presenters has extensions if their hair is a) heavily layered, and b) does that twisty-ends thing. Lindsay's doesn't look that layered to me (in the other paparazzi shots, that is) and doesn't really do the 'twisty ends' thing. Sorry I can't pick better words than that. Middle-age brain atrophy.

Hair extensions would be hard to spot. I saw once a woman on the street, her hair wasn't nice, but it was evident she was spending time (and money) on it. As I came closer I realized I'm seeing hair extensions glued all over.
They are made to look natural, as like they are not there. Or else people (and celebs esp) wouldn't go for them. I think that of a celeb/model/presenter's hair is too thick full of body for hair that is styled with heat and products and colored/bleach all the time, then it's hair extensions.

When I see hair on models in the magazines, I try not to think too much into it because I know they have either 1) Had help on the set doing their hair and 2) probably have a lot more money putting into their hair and 3) it isn't always real hair or they have added the extensions. I once had a lady tell me that most celebrities would only wish they had hair like me because it isn't extensions. So you can look at it two different ways. Although the extensions are pretty, it is also nice to have your natural hair too.

My hair is so flat and straight. I always liked the look of Shakira's hair in pics:

Then I have heard that you always want what you don't have. There are probably wavy or curly haired people that would love to have straight hair like mine. :-)

Whether hair extensions or not, I think that her hair looks very pretty also in the paparazzi pictures!

See, they over did it in my eyes. The length of it looks so thick that her roots look too flat and thin.
The whole picture looks very fake to me, so it wouldn't be surprised to learn it was just a stock photo with her face on it.
While she's never been an inspiration to me, I'm glad so see that Lindsay at least seems to have much longer hair than most. Some of her length is real for sure. I wish she'd look after herself. She was so pretty no so long ago.

Shakira is one of my favourite artists, but I always seem to hate her a bit for what she's done with her hair. First, she had an incredible beautiful long black thick hair (LOVE IT) Then, the red hair (not so bad) and then the bleaching!!!! In real life, without all the stylists to make her hair look good, she would have a straw instead of beautiful locks. Now she don't want to be dark hair anymore :(

And for Lindsay Lohan, even if they are extensions, I think she is has a beautiful long hair that made her looks be even more beautiful.

I only know Shakira with the blonde hair, but when we first saw her it was very long (for real life standards) and dirty blonge with loads of roots. It worked really well. I remember her saying she hated cutting her hair because it was like a part of her being cut off.
Now it's a lot shorter and blonder and boring-er.

Ask anyone who works in Hollywood, 99% of models/actresses/etc with 'long hair' have extensions, weaves, or wear wigs. That doesn't mean they all have short hair really, just that whatever's there is highly augmented.

I had first seen her with the blonde hair before I had looked at older pictures. I can relate with your disappointment! :(
