After my modeling fair thing I am going to tomorrow, I want to just run home and baby my hair. I had to wash (CO) it two days in a row which is hard for me, since I usually do every 3 days AND I blow dried it from damp :scared:
What can I do to get back some of the 'happy hair' feeling. It looks great right now, smooth and nice...shiny. I'm afraid though that it's actually a little dry and possibly a tad damaged?
Should I do my first SMT and then just wear it up for a few days? (Maybe I'm overreacting LOL) Maybe some coconut oil...

I can somewhat sympathize. I'm not a model, but I had a bad salon color incident and had to go back the next day to have it "corrected", so in the span of 2 days, my hair was washed about 6 times (before and after both salon dye-jobs, and a couple times in between in an effort to tone down that bad color), chemically dyed twice, brushed while wet and blown out twice. The second dye job was yesterday. I went home last night and rinsed it to get the salon products out (I didn't want to wash it again but I couldn't stand the plastic-y feeling of the salon hair) and conditioned it and let it air dry. This morning I wet it in the shower and then put coconut oil and aloe on it while it was damp, and then a little cone-y leave in conditioner. It's feels okay today. Still a little dry. I'm going to hold off on shampooing until next week, and it will be a VERY long time before I step foot in a salon again!!

I would say yes to an SMT (my hair loves them!), rinse really well, and wear it up. Benign neglect seems to be the best answer overall. Good luck!

I do a deep conditioning when my hair feels like this, i you dont have any deep conditioner just use ordinary conditioner ad wrap in cling film for a few hours, works every time for me!

After I color my hair, it feels off for a few days. I saturate it in coconut oil, until it is actually stringy from the ears down, and then keep it up or braid it back. Then it seems back to normal.
I wouldn't worry too much. I belly dance and on the rare occasion there is performance, I hairspray, gel and blow dry my hair. And I put in the hair glitter spray from Halloween. After I wash the hairspray out, it seems just fine. A little more tangly than usual, perhaps, but that is it. I think if you are extra nice to your hair before and after, it should be ok.
