Progress Pics from May 2008 to April 2009...

Hey guys,

I have learned so much about hair from this forum, and from other forums that cater to African-American hair. But I figured since we are all lovers of hair, that I would like to share my progress with you guys. I love posting things like this on the hair forums, because you guys realize just how much HARD work it can be to make such progress, wearing up do's sometimes when you really would like to wear your hair down, minimizing heat styling, arguments with people over being rough with your hair LOL, etc.....

You guys are soooo kind! Thanks for viewing my progress pics and giving me feedback. That is always encouraging as well! And thanks for the compliments about my hair's shine, that made me grin too.

Yes, I should post more. I learn a lot about hair from you guys as well. Also, the key thing I learn is that there is some work involved. Anyone can probably grow long hair, but it won't look nice once it gets there without proper maintenance and care.

This is why as I type this message sitting on my office computer I have my hair up in a jaw clip (I know lots of you all are against the teeth clips, but I have yet to see breakage, so I think it's OK), so that the ends don't constantly rub against my wool sweater.

When i have an appoitnment, I take it out, shake it down, comb through it with my fingers...

Also in and out of the office because now that I am BSL, it does tend to get caught on bookbags, staps, car seat straps, etc.

Now the main thing I want to work on is to get to waist, hopefully as long as I can reach waist and that's not my terminal length, and once I get there, then I want to get regular trims to even my hemline, we'll see.
