First post! And Hair Type Question

Hey, I'm Jas. :D
I just joined but I've been lurking for a little while, I just didn't want start until I'd gotten rid of all the damage (from hair straighteners and the blowdryer) and today I finally got the last of that damage cut off.

It's great that the last of my damage is gone - I've been growing it out for ages but the only downside is that it's now just resting on my shoulders and I want to grow it to at least waist, so its going to take a loong time!

I've cut out sulphates and silicones and my hair is so much the better for it. I'm still unsure of my hair type though, so if you could help me out that would be great.

I had to use sulphates today to get rid of the huge amount of cones the hairdresser put on my hair. White stuff was coming off my hair whenever I touched it! :disgust:

Some of your curls are too loose to be 3b, I think. Pretty though.

Yeah I thought that too. When I diffuse I think its a pretty solid 3b but I'm going to stop that because I'd rather have healthy, slightly looser curls than damaged curls.
It sounds weird but destroying my hair once really taught me a lot. My hair straightener is collecting dust in my wardrobe right now and I don't intend to use it again. :)

Your hair looks a lot like mine did especially when it was that length. I would say 3a/3b too if not 3a. 3b is usually tighter coiled spirals. Beautiful BEAUTIFUL hair though. Glad you are here!
