I've recently become obsessed with these. Here's a few pics I've found online"

I found a description of how to make them here (http://community.livejournal.com/weddingplans/13428303.html), it seems pretty simple so I may give it a go.

I used to make those, along with the Hair Sprays, which I no longer make, either, though I still wear them. I had never seen them before and had no idea they had a name! "Hair Vines" fits them well.

For those of you who are going to begin making these now, be prepared for ripped up fingers. No matter how careful you are, wrapping and working with that wire can poke and cut.... How we suffer for our art! ;o(

I'm afraid that they'd devour or, at the very least, cut into my hair. Not to mention that my hair has a tendency to wrap around things and cling tight; how would I ever get that beautiful thing out again?

Wow, those are really beautiful!

I second Spidermom though; once they're in, I'd never be able to get them out! My hair would surely eat them :(

Oh pretty pretty pretty!

To protect your hair you could wrap the wire with a silk embroidery floss, thats how you cover te wire on French beaded flowers and it looks good. Might make them less edible!

Those are simply gorgeous, but I can't imagine wearing them. I envision losing a lot of hair in them. :(
