One and a half year anniversary--and Guru-ism!

I have been at TLHC since October 2007, so it's been 1 1/2 years. Wow! It doesn't seem like that long, but when I think over the highlights, I realize that it has indeed. Reading some of my early posts, I can see that I've changed and matured as well.

On to the pictures!

First length shot, October 2007, at hip length:

Six months later, in April 2008, having reached tailbone length during the Great Crash of February '08:

In July 2008, I got bangs. I wanted to add some softness to updos and the permabraid I wore.

(This is after having minibraids in for a week)

It didn't work the way I wanted, but simply shortened my face, and I noticed that nobody thought I was 16 anymore, but thought I was 13 (which is correct). I enjoy being treated as older, so I decided the bangs weren't a keeper. I've been growing them out since September or October 2008. They are now long enough to qualify as face-framing layers, and I'm finally happy with them.

After using "Wrap, Snap, and Go" curlers overnight. This is a gibralter bun, with the last coil left down.

Thank you for the compliments! My original goal was knee length, and I'm still planning on going that long, but I've also toyed with the idea of floor or longer. :shrug: We'll see.

You remind me of myself when I was thirteen. Like you, I was very mature for my age, I had hair about your length (only mine was dark blonde), and people often thought I was older, which I loved.
