Curly Girl Lavender Mist?

It's just a 1/2 gallon of water with 5 drops of lavender and I just can't see that doing much at all, and of course you can't go thru that much very quickly as little as it takes to mist your hair so she says keep it in the fridge. Does anyone use this recipe? Does it do anything more than scent your hair with lavender? The author recommends it to "clean" your scalp in between washes, but I don't see that being enough lavender to really have any effect like that.

I always thought it was odd how little lavender there was in the recipe, too. I think I made up a really small amount with 1 or two drops, and all it did was make my hair wet. My hair doesn't like spritzing in general, though - goes limp.

I would mix up something more along the lines of 8 drops in a cup of water, that is if my hair liked spritzing. :lol:

I thought it was more to give the hair a nice scent as it's drying, not really a styler. I don't think the lavender does anything special either, you could use any EO.
