HAD to share this with my fellow LHC-ers; I was in the library and I saw a fellow student with the most gorgeous braid; it was a regular dutch braid, but all of her hair was swept accross to the side and it was braided down the left side of her head (down next to ear, not down back of head). She was sitting so I couldn't tell how long her hair was, but I estimate around just hip length. I want to try the braid myself, but i dont think that my hair is smooth enough to sit swept accross without sitting wierdly....
Anyway, just wanted to share :)

that sounds very intricate, wish I could have seen it hehe. I love seeing people with their hair in some sort of braid.

That sounds beautiful. I love seeing hair swept across like that, it gives a lovely romantic feel. Let us know how it goes when you try the braid. Judging by your avatar, you have a lovely colour!

Ladybackspin, that looks great! I've never done the braid on an angle like that...truely beautiful!

I thought she meant completely vertical, not diagonal. But that does look very beautiful too.

A beautiful braid pic, laybackspin.

The one redhead_rachel spotted sounds great too.

That's a good way to do a Dutch or French braid with long hair -- it keeps the braid at the front, where you can keep at eye on it!
