Reformulated Nexxus Products

Just a little heads up to anyone fortunate enough not to be a regular reader of my blog. Nexxus has completely reformulated Humectress. The mineral oil and petrolatum are gone, and there are cones added. This (http://www.nexxus.com/Product/Humectress/Ultimate-Moisturizing-Conditioner) is the new ingredient list; this (http://reviews.longhaircommunity.com/showproduct.php/product/62/cat/3) is the old formulation. Amazon still has the old bottle available, it looks like, and maybe other stores like BigLots will have it too.

Now, I did try the new formulation. Unfortunately, for me, it was a most unsatisfactory experience. So, if any of you consider Humectress to be your HG, check around. I was able to find some of the old formulation just this week.

Therappe has also been reformulated. I have not tried the new one, so I can't comment on it.

It looks like they threw evey possible cone in there in fairly good concentrations, right at the beginning of the ingredient list, for Humectress. I hate it when a reformulated product is worse than what it replaces. That is not always the case but it seems to be the "norm". Good luck in finding a permanent replacement. I am sure that you can find one but how permanent it will be is another question.
