A friend sent me this so unfortunately I don’t know the source of these, but they’re still fascinating and entertaining!

Suppose they had cones in their styling gels (like, what, concrete??!)

I don't know, just can't see myself floating around with a rhinoceros on my head and combing it out would be a nightmare!

Still, these really are pretty amazing....

Is it possible to do that with hair? Or were these computer generated? Either way - interesting.

I didn't think wild hairs grew out of the top of your head?

Never mind where I was told they grow from -- i'll just "Sit on it"....

Wicked fun but that has to be extensions. If it isn't I feel sorry for those ladies' poor heads getting that loose.

I've seen these before, they're interesting. As far as I know, it's a mix of their real hair and extensions. But most of the girls are hair models, anyway, so a lot of them have longer hair and it's all real. If I remember correctly, there are more photos, too. But I have noooooo idea where to find them, anymore.

Hours and hours and tons of product, haha. Probably some wiring in there, too, I'm sure, especially for the bigger ones like 1 and 5.

Even though that isn't their own hair, but rather manipulated hair pieces worn like hats, I still find them entertaining. :D

They are works of art! No painful combing out necessary.

I'm thinking those are either computer generated or "hats" of a sort....none of those girls have hair long enough for that, and the rhino is close to, but by no means a match for it's "host" hair.

My first thought was that it is false hair glued to a mold. But yeah, interesting. Not something I would wear.

I have to say I can't see myself with an elk on my head, though the antlers make it kind of fetching.

It's amazing but I definitely think at least 1 and 5 are false or just wigs. The difference in hair colour is too obvious. But it looks fascinating anyway.

Nagi Noda, a Japanese artist, fashioned animals out of hair. He has made a lion, rhinoceros, seal, goat, poodle, elephant, deer, rabbit and many more other animals.

The animal forms seem to be fashioned from the model’s hair. It is assumed that hair gel, oil and other hair styling accessories are used to tease and train the hair to take the highly artistic formations.
Most of the time the model’s hair from the back and crown of the head is pulled to the front to manipulate and shape into the beasts.

Here are some more pics of her work:D

Unfortunately I found this on Wiki: Nagi died on September 7, 2008 , at age 35, after surgical complications from injuries sustained in a traffic accident the previous year.

Is it just me or do most of the models look a little scared?

These are neat! I wish I could walk around with hair sculpted into horns or a tiger's head for a day but I'd be too afraid of the superglue.
