I need help!
This is the story:
I had my bangs (very thick) done in july and i have been leting them grow although i cut about half an inch. its now touching the end of my nose and it continues down my face until my chin. this is not a problem but about one month ago (when i had a bit of a colour disaster probably the stress made me do this) i thought that my ends were too blonde around my face so i thought i would make it like layers like continuation from my growing bangs... do you know what i mean? the problem is they went a lot irregular and completly bad cut so i went to the hairdresser to fix it, but what she did was to cut them blunt!! So blunt makes me even worst cause they end too thick and ridiculous. So what i wanted was a techniq just to make them look more like layers and not strange pieces of hair... im only thinking about working on those blunt ends to make them soft and nice. A nice ending for my fraceframing hairs. Is there any sugestions from the hairdressers, please?
I wont go again to the hairdresser cause its too expensive for something that would cut mostly no hair, just arranging it.

So that you can see how much hair i have in this situation is about 1 third or 1 forth of my hair (bangs and layers going down)

Here is the Ted Gibson (celebrity stylist) video, on how to cut your own bangs and give them a soft look, http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-cut-your-own-bangs-141926/

When I trim my bangs, I pull a small section from the hairline to the end of the bang in between my index and middle fingers, vertically. I then snip that section evenly. It creates a little layering effect in the bang so it's not all exactly one length.

I don't know if that's what you mean, but thought I'd share anyway. It's the way the hairdressers do it *on me anyway*.

thank you both, those are very good sugestions but i actually wont do it on my bangs but mostly on the pieces of hair that i did cut because i wanted my growing bangs to have sence. It made it worst but anyway..its not that of a big deal. I think the best way is to do it with lots of calm and concentration and try to make separation on the ends creating a more natural look. I think ill use that tecniq used on the bangs and anothers i saw on How to http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-cut-hair-47679_14/ and http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-cut-hair-47679_13/

what do you think?

I like that video and I have posted it before. It is easy to follow, even though I will not be cutting bangs any time soon, lol.

I'd be VERY CAREFUL with those texturizing techniques on any other part of your hair than your bangs. It's hard enough to use those techniques on another person, much less yourself. I do use those techniques on a daily basis when I am working at the salon, but I've been doing hair for 5 years or so.

The best advice I can give about bangs is to only go from eyebrow to eyebrow. If you go any further you're cutting into the other hair, not just fringe.

rymorg2 but thats what i did and thats why i´ve asked for help... :( and i did went to the hairdresser 5 days ago to see if she could bring me some sence to it but i think it was because i told her i liked "thick" hair that she didnt work out the ends ... as it was blowdried it looked ok but now in my normal washes the ends are too thick and dont end nicely... so as a hairdresser what would be the easiest tecnic for me to use at home (with lots and lots of pacience and calm) ?
its not a lot of hair but its enough to make me really sad EVERY day ... it is right next to my face so i will have to try something even if very little. Believe me, i wont do any stupid thing intentionally or by impulse. I´ve been thinking about this for more than one month until going to the hairdresser. She is a good hairdresser and it was my fault for not seeing i wasnt happy but it did cost me 20 euros for making my irregular pieces blunt. I cant put myself into that situation cause its too much money for that..

Maybe cut the pieces into an angle rather than straight? Would that help?
