So my hair feels and looks really good today, so I took a few pics. Sorry if they're a bit big:

I quite like this one. It shows a good amount of shine and highlights (that didn't know I had).

It's a bit dark, but it shows the length. I get a nice feeling when I realize I can't fit all of my hair in one shot.

This one shows how long it is. And how incredibly close I am to my original goal of waist length.I'm not sure if I should go for tailbone length...

That's the latest from me, but would anyone else like to share so I don't seem totally narcissistic?:)

Thank you for the kind words! I guess I do have a pretty full hemline. I was gonna give it a trim 'cause when I braid it, there's a bit of a taper, but I guess it doesn't really need it especially if I want it to get to waist length sometime in the summer.

This is one of my favorites. No, there isn't something in the water here, I was trying to fool one of my friends asking how long my hair was, so I looked way up. The bottom of it reaches to about classic length. Maybe someday?

Heh, thank you very much. I'd go for tailbone, but I think I'd feel awfully conspicuous. Not to mention I don't think I could handle it. That said, it hasn't been too much trouble thus far, and you guys will help, right? :) I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

The last time I did that it took me 3 years to reach waist length and I've been feeling a tad discouraged since it will be 2010 before I get there again. These pics have renewed some faith that I *will* get there! Thanks!

I do that frequently. I'm considering a 30-day up-do challenge to try to cure some of that. I just don't know if I can make it...hopefully posting here will give me more encouragement. After all, I can't have anything to post if I don't do anything, right?

To be honest, I think growing hair is the easiest things to do, since you don't really have to do anything (maintenance is a different story). I always think about how all my little follicles are working hard all the time and that if I'm patient, I'll have the longer hair I want.

I will probably never understand why, when people want long hair so badly, they get impatient and cut it before every reaching their goal. It's so counter-productive. I suppose part of that is that I'm somewhat fearful of big changes to my appearance. In that regard, having long hair suits me, because it doesn't change suddenly (though I wouldn't mind waking up one day with knee-length hair).
