I almost feel scared to post.....I haven´t been active in a long time here. Probably none of you remember me.
Well, I did a bad thing. I cut and did highlights this past summer..and it was a moment thing. I did regret it just the day after - but done was done. I always do this...and this time I even waited the 2 week´s but still did it. It is like the hairdresser has a weird spell on me. Anyway - after that I did´t post but been online now and then looking and reading...
Well - Now I am going for it again, and this time I will not fail. There is no option this time....lol...
I did let my hair grow since about october. And I am posting my progress pictures here.

You can look in my album and see the whole progress...
It is not much - but I am on my way. Just wanted to share with you all! :D...
And I am so happy it is just landing on my shoulders now...lol...
My routine now is I only CO. I oil my ends every evening - do SMT treatments very regular. And once in a while I do a protein treatment.
Thank you all!!!!!

Welcome back Emme - your progress looks good to me!
It's always a cool milestone to get it to shoulder length.

This is the reason I avoid salons. I go in there, see a picture of a cute cut, and then want cut to that style. This is what happened years ago when I chopped to should

Hi, Emme! Welcome back! I'm one of the "old-timers" here, and I had a similar experience. Been there, done that, and shoulda known better. *sigh* You can read my blog to find out more. Ah well. The most important thing is that we are here and we are back on track to growing long again. You've already made incredible progress -- woohoo!!!!!

Hi Emme76 :waving:
I remember you! Didn't you ask for hair care advice on the Swedish thread about a year ago? I think I gave you a bunch of advice.
Don't worry about doing bad things to you hair. You'll have a problem finding anyone here who hasn't been there and done that. We all make mistakes, if we are lucky we might learn something from them, so we don't repeat them.
Welcome back and good luck! It looks like you're doing a great job of growing this time! :rockerdud

Your hair looks beautiful!
Coming here doesn't mean you have to hate hairdressers, that you can't dye your hair or have it highlighted at all or can't even ever have it cut shorter. So don't start out by feeling guilty. Don't feel that you have to make a choice one way or the other. It doesn't have to be that way. LHC is what you want it to be, as long as you and your hair are happy with it!
Welcome back.

Well, the way I look at it, it is JUST HAIR. If you cut it and regret it, it does grow back eventually, so I wouldn't be upset with yourself. I think it looks pretty even at the length it is at. :-) Don't be too hard on yourself!!!

Thank you all :)!!! Yes - it is a new beginning...and I shoulden´t feel quilty about the past..thank you for that advice :D!!! It feels great to be back here and so many welcome backs it warms my heart.
When it comes to hairdressers - it is just odd - cause I have known many good once and that is not the problem. The problem is me. :o I also tend to find a cute haircut and think that it will be great..but I always regret it. So I have to keep that in mind, and for once in many years let it grow longer than shoulder...
And yes - silverlox - it is me :D...You did give me some great advice that I still use. And I am sure you have more good once to give me. Do you perhaps know where I can get some good shea butter? I would like to try it :)!
Sweet hugs to everyone :blossom:

I'm so glad you could use it! Everything I told you are things I've learned from here and most of them I've tried myself. :D
I did manage to get some shea butter from my local Health Food Store, a Life shop. They don't have it normally, but when I asked, they could order it for me. It came in a tiny jar and I found it a bit expensive, considering how little it was, but it's okay for testing to see if you like it. If it doesn't work out for your hair, you can always use it for feet, hands, and skin in general. ;)
Since then, I must admit that I've been "cheating". I found a kind I like in the US, but the company does not sell online. Luckily I have a friend who buys it for me and sends it to Sweden. :inlove:
I should add, though, that my hair doesn't like shea at all! But my skin loves it and that's what I use it for.
This reminds me, - I haven't visited the Swedish Thread for ages, nor any of the other ones I'm a member of. I definitely need to catch up.
