Looking for style instructions

I'm supposed to be dressing up as Marie Curie, and I've found a workable picture, (https://bhlspectrum.wikispaces.com/file/view/marie_curie.jpg) but can't figure out how to make my hair do that. It looks pretty similar to my type and colour, but the style escapes me. Can anyone identify it and/or point me to a set of instructions for it? And can I do that with my BSL hair? :pray:

Have you seen this (http://www.intimelyfashion.com/hair/gibson2.htm) tutorial? The final picture looks similar to your style; you can adjust the 'poof' and the position of the bun as necessary. I think BSL would work just fine for this style.

It looks like a loose, sagging cinnamon bun or nautilus bun to me. My hair does that sort of thing all the time.

I think Anje is probably right, but I struggle to make my hair that loose. The poof style might've done the trick, but sadly I can only make it right on top of my head at this length. Not quite the desired effect! :( Maybe I can play with doing the Janeway bun loosely, cos I doubt I'll manage the looseness with a cinnabun and I'm still too short for a Nautilus. Who would've thought Curie had such long hair?

You could use a very small hair rat, like the one used here http://intimelyfashion.com/main/?p=45. I agree that it looks like the styles others have posted.

If you're ii, you might have enough for a small nautilus, or it's junior version, Eadwine's 10 second quick bun. Otherwise, I'd suggest making a cinnamon bun, then spin the whole thing a bit to loosen it before pinning it in place.

Maybe do it a few hours in advance to give it some sagging time.

I was able to replicate this pretty well by doing a simple cinnamon bun (about center) and untwisting it about 1/4-1/2 a turn and pushing it lower down the back of my head. Poofed at the bottom perfectly.
