APL updos

I've tried searching for new updos and am running into the "not long enough" problem. I'm nearly APL.

Some updos work as half-ups (cinnabun and some stick styles) and I know that a french twist and peacock twist work.

I've checked the hair style dictionary, but haven't had a ton of luck.

Any ideas or links to updos suitable for APL?

All I ever did at that length was peacock twist, french twist, and ponytail. Mostly I wore it down. Oh - and french or dutch braids down the sides.

You could also try pinning the braids up for a more formal look.

At that length, I could start to wear an figure 8 bun and a bunned braid. My hair is fine, though. YMMV.

The updo in my signature is what I wore while I was APL to BSL. :)

I wear Manderly's updo, cinnabuns, and continue to attempt to master French braids (I can do them, my stupid slippery hair just begins to attempt escape almost immediately). Oh, and a French twist would work also. And I like Gibson tucks - they're so quick and yet look like you spent a lot of time on it!

Really? a figure 8 at APL???!!! I've tried to do this, but I need another 6 inches of hair, it seems!!

I do mostly peacock twists, french twists, and braids. Most buns don't work for me yet. Even lazy wraps won't last more than, say, an hour.
