I have dark hair, consists of auburn, black and brown, naturaly wavy to curly, hair I am mixed race. I love my hair, but its dry, tangly when washed, and my scalp is sensitive and dry and irratated if not treated well, ever since my ppd freakout. I though I would post some of my mixes and also questions.

For shine

1 avocado( i love avocado!)
pomegrante juice squeezed from fruit
1 egg
lil bit balsamic vinegar/or applecider vinegar
tblspn honey
few globs of applesauce
tspn lime juice ( lemon irratates me)
sometimes i add in plain yogurt to my mix

i also use...
coconut milk/goat milk
molasses
olive oil
neroli oil
gelatin
fenugreek

Tea for hair...
I do this as a leave in spray, or do a rinse after masks or henna
catnip
blue lotus
hemp
hops
chamomolie
vanilla bean
lavander flowers
rose petals
spearmint
cilantro
lemon grass

For herbal condition masks
ziphus spina christi
amla powder
neem
brahmi
ashwaghanda
some pectin to help ease the rinsing

leave in oils, incase hair or scalp is dry
coconut oil
shea butter
jojoba oil
evening primrose oil
olive oil
avocado oil
I mix them and apply

to wash my hair

aritha powder or my shea butter soap, that consists of shea butter and soapnut

For color I use henna ofcourse
as well as herbs to help enhance colors
paprika
beetroot
cloves
ginger
cocoa
pomegrante juice
lemon balm or lemon grass

ok here is my questions?
Is there any way to strain avacado? I always get teh lil peices left in hair after a rinse? another question is does anyone know of a good shea butter/olive oil or avacado oil shampoo or wash i can use? I loves how shea butter soap works but maybe theres better?

Your recipes look great! :) I don't know how to strain avocado, I never had a problem with the little pieces.

Chagrin Valley soap ( www.chagrinvalleysoapandcraft.com ) has fabulous shampoo bars and soaps, and many of them have shea butter and olive oil. I'm sure you'd find something you like there.
