My daughter decided to dye her clip on extensions in the bath, however the hair all snapped and my bath wouldn't empty, well it would but very slowly.

Of course I got the blame despite my protests that my hair doesn't shed hardly anything. DH however remembers the last time my hair was long, broken vacuum cleaners and constant blocked sinks and baths caused many an aurgument.

Anyway today I was de-hairing my legs for my holiday with hair removing cream, when I had a thought. I sprayed some of the hair remover cream in the plug hole and left it for 15 minutes and then turned the tap on; result unblocked drain and no having to fish out the offending hair with a twisted metal clothes hanger.

I had a little fish about witht he clothes hanger, but nothing the hair remover had well removed the hair!

Thought id share this tip with you guys.

Your all very welcome, sure beats pulling those horrible, slimmy hairs from the plug hole. The worst job ever in my opinion!

Have a great holiday Jojo, :sun: and when you get back check the RRRRRRRRRRRRRR Machine thread (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=1140&highlight=epilator) ... then you can save all the rest of the stinky Nair for the drains!

One of my favorite threads, and one of my favorite machines!!!

I'm glad you found another use for that hair remover cream! I'll have to remember that, thanks :D

I used the cheapo one from the pound shop, for a £1 funnily enough!

Works just as well, don't splash out on expensive ones, they all work the same!

Very good idea! :O
But what to do with the ones that are a very thick cream? Do you think adding a little water would affect it's effectivity?

I agree it works great. A word of caution though. If you henna, make sure you apply the nair to the drain BEFORE you rinse out your henna. Otherwise, you end up with a hair clog, that has a thick coating of mud on it, with a coating of nair on top, that you still have to fish out manually.

Great minds think alike, Jojo! :D
I posted this hair clog remedy a couple of months ago--but didn't get nearly the the enthusiastic resposne that you did!
It works much better than Drano, or the baking soda/vinegar trick!
