Hey all!
Just curious to know what conditioner you oily scalped people use? I'm finding my fav conditioner has been weighing my hair down so I'd like to try some others.
Curious to know what you use--those who have oily hair/scalp. I work outdoors, so cones do not bother me, but I do know they build up over time.
Thanks! :)

It's probably the cones that are weighing you down. I am using Salty Dawg and Dairy Whip now, so I don't need conditioner. However, the last condish I used was Cure Care. Few ingredients, no scent, pretty light. Good stuff.

I tend to put conditioner only on my length, since my scalp doesn't seem to like having conditioner on it, but sometimes I put some Biolage Detangling Solution on all my hair, even at the scalp, with no particular problem.
I also use Biolage conditioning balm, Aussie Moist conditioner and Ellin Lavar's SatinSoft conditioner.
ETA: I've also used Cure Care, it's what I use after I've done a heavy oiling.

Any light conditioner is okay to use, preferably one without cones (hair becomes too slick, looks too oilyish to me & it weighs my hair down). I think conditioners like Suave are great. Maybe just washing it, and then a leave-in?

Currently using Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner. I switched from Sunsilk for thirsty ends (cones) to Aubrey organics (no cones). However, I don't think what I put on my ends (conditioner) makes a blind bit of difference to my oily scalp, because I don't put it anywhere near my scalp.

I use heavier conditioners, I have an oily scalp, and I work out almost every day. This leads me to wash just about every day, though I can go an extra day after shampooing.
My favorites for daily use as CO conditioner are:
Herbal Essences
-Hello Hydration [though, that can weigh my hair down if used more than one day in a row]
-None of Your Frizzness
-Break's Over
My favorites for use after shampooing (twice a week):
Organix
-Coconut
-Shea Butter
-Mocha Espresso
John Frieda
-Brilliant Brunette

Thanks! I'm at a longer length and in that 'inbetween' phase, so I'm finding any heavy cone product is starting to weigh it down a bit. I love pantene daily moisture renewel, but find it's leaving too much build up. I only use it on my ends btw.
I totally forgot I have Brilliant Brunette by John Frieda! I'll go back to using that.
Do you find that whatever works to keep down static causes your hair to be very flat/weighed down?

If I use shampoo (not a shampoo bar), I only use shampoo on my scalp. Then, when I condition, I apply conditioner from the ears down. If you have an oily scalp, there really is no reason for you to put conditioner on your roots and scalp. Only the lengths needs the conditioner. So really, use whatever conditioner you like, just apply it to the ends.

Currently, I use Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner, Biolage Conditioning Balm, and Nature's Gate Hemp Conditioner. Of the three the hemp conditioner is the heaviest on my hair, though none of them really weigh it down. I find that when I use conditioner with cones, even those with cones far down in the ingredients, my hair gets stringy and greasy far quicker. Since switching to a soap based shampoo (instead of sulfate) my hair has much more body and I can go longer between washings.
ETA: I haven't had flyaway hair since I stopped blow drying, stopped using cones and sulfates, and started using oils.

Thanks--oils actually make my hair mega fly away. If I oil my hair, it's soft and shiny, but sooo staticy the next few days until my next wash.
Yes, I only wash my scalp and I don't condition my scalp--I'm finding though that using certain conditioners are making it seem greasier. I have used a biologe conditioner, but it's a leave in one and loaded with cones, which did weigh it down. I haven't seen the conditioning balm.
I'm looking for a light weight conditioner, so these are all great suggestions.

I use VO5 conditioner, Tea Therapy, Sunkissed Raspberry or Strawberry Cream. It's quite light.

My current conditioners are Biolage colour care, Tresemme volumising (for CO) and V05 Kiwi Lime Squeeze (for CO).
I like to use a rich conditioner on my length when I'm shampooing- I usually just keep it off my scalp!
When I deep condition it goes all over and I don't find it makes any difference to the oiliness of my hair.

I don't use conditioners. Mostly an ACV rinse after washing. :)

I think Nexxus Ensure is a great light conditioner that helps minimize tangles and provides me with the perfect amount of moisture. Goth Rosary makes great conditioner, too
In the winter, I find I need to use heavier conditioners because the air is dry. In the summer, I can almost get away with not using any conditioner

Thanks! I found a really good one called Loreal Color Vive. It's light weight, has UV filters, and has no cones (that I could read. The ingredients are so small in printing, I need a microscope to read them!) and made my hair awesome :D

I have naturally quite oily hair and scalp. I don't use conditioners or oil. They both weigh my hair down and make it lank and greasy. I don't use acid rinses either, just soapnuts for washing and that's all!

I have an oily scalp and normal to oily hair. I don't need conditioner at all in the summer but in the winter (in upstate NY), the static in my hair is insane! I've been using White Rain Apple Blossom and it works fairly well for the static but doesn't seem to weigh the hair down.

Back when I was doing CO washes, I had luck in general with VO5 conditioners like the tea therapy.

I have given up on conditioner and use catnip rinses exclusively. No splits, dryness, flyaways...

I have a pretty oily scalp so I have to wash everyday, if I'm just staying home I might do every other day, any longer then that at my head is a greasy mess and my scalp itches bad.
I actually CWC with Pantene 2-in-1 which for some odd reason doesn't make my hair as greasy and flat as plain shampoo....I have a clue why.
All the conditioners I use daily have cones. My favorites are:
-Pantene Nature Fusion-both formulas, one feels lighter cone the the other
-Tresemme Vita E moisture rich
I usually only put the conditioner from my ears down since my shampoo has conditioner in it.
When I was cone free my roots weren't really any fluffier and my hair didnt stay any cleaner longer but everyone is different.

I just use commercial ones like Aussie and Garnier Fructis. I don't put them on my scalp, and I usually just get greasy hair the next day anyway.
I never really figured out a way to "beat" the greasy scalp, but I did stop washing constantly because all that does is waste time and damage my hair.

Giovanni Tea tree Triple Treat works nicely with my scalp and roots which are greasy, but is still moisturizing on my less than stellar ends.
