I haven't had any problems with cones really until the last few weeks, but I seem to be getting some buildup and I hadn't been doing anything differently...
...so I clarified yesterday and followed with my normal conditioner but my hair still feels a bit crunchy and weird so I've been out and bought a cone-free conditioner to see how it goes - next time I wash it (probably on Tuesday) I'm going to clarify again then go with the new condish
wish me luck! :)

What did you use to clarify your hair the first time? If it did a good job, you might not need to do it again so closely to the last time.

good luck:drama: keep us posted on how it turns out for you.
could it be a change in the water? We have hard water and after a big rain or snow melting the water seems weird or different then whats the norm:shrug:

Have you tried adding a little baking soda to your shampoo? I use that to clarify once a month, and I also like to rinse with a mixture of vinager and water...that seems to clarify and condition as well. What kind of cone free conditioner did you get?

I did my first cone-free wash on monday night, and didn't bother to clarify because my hair didn't feel like it needed it so just used my normal shampoo then the new conditioner (from the nice and cheap Inecto Pure Coconut Oil range)...
...damp bunned it then shook it out yesterday morning and am happy to report it felt really good! it was just as soft as usual, and I had no problem detangling it which was my only concern... I think it does somehow feel a bit lighter and less weighed down too which I'm happy about. I'm washing it tonight again so hoping for similar/even better results
so far so good! :D

I have been cone free (I’m basically using nature’s gate conditioners) for almost the entire time I’ve been growing my hair. Never looked back but I do love to use oils.
