I want to see all the updos you can do! I am needing to update my style a bit. Everyone is acustomed to seeing me in French rools and twists, buns and braids. I am going out to dinner with the sweety husband this weekend and want to try something new! If all else fails I will just wear my Gibson Girl...but what can you show me? I love to see everyones style. My hair is not as phenominal long as some, but I can still beat it into shape. :D
One thing I am really curious about is men's opinions. How do you like women to wear their hair? My husband likes mine down best. I do too, but like it up and away from me for the most part. I'd love to hear your opinions :D

I call that my Gibson Housewife...lol It starts as a bun directly on top of my head, then I relax it a bit while untwisting it. It poofs my hair out on all sides. When It gets to the right size i PIN IT! Just the right amount of sexy baby hairs fall out and it works. People always comment on it when I go into town. My hsuband hates it, but I like it. I will post one from when my hair is neater and smoother. Gotta find it. Thanx for the compliments!

I like the styles you posted! That gibson style in the last two pictures really suits you :)

I have a few pictures of hairstyles in my photo album (link is in my sig). (I have to admit I do the same bun most days though :o )

Don't know if it helps since my hair's longer but these are the updo's I'm most likely to wear.

Top row L to R: Pinless braided bun, Equilibrium bun, Trollypup's Lazy bun.

Bottom row L to R: Edwardian do, Chinese bun(that one's messy but you get the idea), Cinnamon bun held w/ Amish hair pins(:inlove:).

Great styles! I am off to the big bathroom mirror to practice!
Oh! I was in the Toyota dealership today and I had my hair in the Gibson style. This adorable little whit haired lady told me how she liked my hair. She said I remember when my Gran used to do that. OMG! I was so tickled!

Since your hubby prefers it down and you're looking for something new may I suggest rag curls? You could pull the front back in a half up or just wear it down and curly.

Ooh... I really like the Edwardian do, Cassie G. Could you give me step by step instructions on how to do that one? I'm really bad at updos. All's I know how to do is a french braid and french twist, a simple bun, and pony tail. Thanks so much!!!!:)

whats a rag curl?

A rag curl is basically curling your hair around strips of fabric. There's a post on LJ (http://community.livejournal.com/longhair/452693.html) but it doesn't really give instructions. Instructions here (http://www.nocturne.com/swing/hair/rag-curlers/rag-curlers.html) but no pics. Hope that helps.
