All those who go outside either for work, school, college etc and you have a routine to wash your hair weekdays or 2-3 times a week, do you get up early so that your hair is air dried by the time you step out.

I have to be out of the house by 7am every weekday morning, to run the kids to school, along with various other errands that pop up from having so many children, and I do have to get up super-early on the mornings when I wash my hair. Especially in the wintertime when it would be downright painful to be wet-headed outside. :tmi:
So usually, I just try to schedule a wash in the evening, to make sure that doesn't happen. But, with so much on my plate, it often doesn't work out perfectly every time. :p

I wash my hair in the evening to side step that issue. :) If I were to try washing my hair when I got up in the morning, I wouldn't be able to get out in time at all, no matter what I did, even blow drying :(

I've stopped caring if my hair is wet when I leave the house. I wash it, towel dry all of the drippy-ness out of it, put it up and then it just dries on it's own. I can't wash in the evenings because I'd never be able to fall asleep (and I have a hard enough time doing so now).

I always wash my hair in the evenings just to avoid this issue. If it sometimes means that I am in my pajamas at 7 pm (because I despise going to bed with wet hair) so be it.

when i have to go out i use hair dryer, since i dont want to reduce my beauty sleep time, but hair dryer will give less shine.. :( and damage my hair

I only wash on off days plus one extra day....on that day I make sure I'm going in to work later so I can give my hair time to dry in between. I still have to dry it a little with my dryer but not much.

If I have to go out soon after washing, I just put it up in an updo anyway. It's just not a big deal to me.

It might take a little planning but it's not impossible to do. In warmer weather, I wash in the morning and bun it and go. A knit Calorimetry will help with that in the winter. Sometimes I'll wash the night before. There are times when I know I have to set the alarm and get my butt out of bed extra early in order to get it washed and let it dry.

I only wash in the morning and I manage to leave my house by 6:20 am. I wake up pretty early (for other reasons) and a few minutes on cool with the dryer allows me to put it up and then I don't care how long it takes to get fully dry.

I sometimes plan a wash so I can airdry on the weekends or in the evening. More often I just bun it and leave it up wet when I go to class. My hair needs the moisture and loves being damp bunned anyways.

When my hair was TBL, I mostly showered at night, so I could avoid blowdrying damage. Or washed the hair at night, and then showered in the morning, with a cap to keep my hair dry. This works great if you don't feel "fresh" in the morning without a shower. :p

Not really. I like to have about 1.5 hours in the morning to get around but I would do that whether my hair was long or short. I like to take my time in the morning :)
Usually I just put my hair up damp. Comb it once when out of the shower, let it air dry for a few minutes while I do other things then give it a final combing and put into an updo. Yes, it is cold but I don't live up north and except from walking from my car to a building, I stay indoors. As an added bonus I find that damp hair looks sleeker and holds better in an updo than when the hair is dry.

I'm slow to get ready in the morning, too, but I prefer to wash my hair in the evening. If I wash my hair in the morning in the cold weather, I try to encourage it to dry the best I can by fluffing the roots, and I wear my hair in a braid with a warm hat over it til I get indoors.

If I shower at night and sleep on even damp hair then it's funky in the morning. Serious bed head! LOL It takes a long time to dry too. Lately I have been using my hairzing or ezcomb (same thing) to put it 1/2 up so I don't get any rubberband kinks. I live in sunny SD though so it's not really cold here.

I try to avoid a frozen head by showering at night, and wearing my damp hair braided when I go to bed. In the event that I have to shower in the morning, I just tough out the cold. Yet another reason why I love lazy weekends - I don't HAVE to leave home, and my hair can air-dry loose!

I always wash in the evening/late afternoon to give it some time to dry (3-4 hours). I usually do it once during the weekend and once during the weekdays (Friday and Tuesday for example).

I usually wash in the morning and go out the door with wet hair. I tried washing it at night but it dries all crazy and then I sleep on it, and by the time I get up in the morning it's so out of whack I have to wet it down to calm the beast that is my hair. haha I did dry it the other day though. It felt nice to go out the door with warm dry hair. :) The temps have been below zero here lately.. And the wind chill? Even worse. Right now the wind chill is supposedly negative 32 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm not going out in it. Nope.

I wash in the mornings, because my hair looks funky if I wash it at night or don't at least water wash it in the morning. Sometimes, I don't care if I look "funky," even at work...I just put it back in a barette and forget about it.
But if I want to look my best, I wash in the morning and I do airdry. I'm lucky that I live in the south. It doesn't get too cold here, usually. Even if it does, I'm not outside long enough to worry about it.
First thing I do in the morning is shower, then my hair airdries while I am doing other things: makeup, breakfast, taking care of the dogs, getting dressed, and whatever else I might need to do that particular day. By the time I'm ready to leave, my hair is a little damp but not bad at all. I have hair that's between my shoulders and bra strap...so I'm sure if I had much longer hair, I wouldn't be able to get away with it.

I wash on the evenings, giving it time to dry a bit before I sleep.
Then I sleep with it damp and it's usually almost dry by morning.
Sometimes it isn't but I just leave it to dry when I'm out.

I'm a complete zombie in the morning, so I have to wash my hair in the evening. I need about 20 min. to get out of bed and then I have about 30 min. to get dressed, eat breakfast, put the contacts in and leave the house. Putting contacts in half-closed eyes is not easy ;)
Sometimes, I just wash the hair separately in the sink when I come home, let if air dry (if I'm not too cold), and take a shower just before going to bed. Seldomly, I take a shower in the morning (but always without washing the hair) and try to wake up with colder water. But I usually don't do this in winter. If I need to leave house shortly after washing my hair, I blow dry on low until quite dry (never completely) and then bun/braid/whatever style it.

Before I was married, I would wash my hair during the night time and let it dry overnight. But now, I cannot keep a regular schedule for washing because according to my religion, I must take a shower after *intimate moments.* Since these are not planned, sometimes I wash my hair a few days in a row, other times, every couple of days. This randomness makes it difficult to plan to dry my hair. The only solution I have is to wake up earlier to blow dry my hair. Leaving it wet or wet-bunning is not an option, this gave me headaches in the past. My only concern is what I will do as my hair gets longer....

I still use a blow-dryer when I absolutely have to but only in 2-minute increments and not for more than 6 minutes. This keeps the waves out, the straight in, and the fluffiness on. My hair is like silk and has never been damaged. I brush it a lot, too.

I never wash my hair in the mornings. waking up is a very slow, painful process for me so there is no way I am going to possess the needed coordination for hair washing in the mornings. I can barely remember my name before 10 am and my colleagues have long gotten used to the fact that I am able to only grunt and growl for the first few hours of the workday :D
PS taking showers in the mornings doesn't wake me up any better. it just makes me extremely pissed off for some reason.

I was mine every other day. I get up at 6.45am and have to be out of the house by 8.20am at the latest (it takes me ages to sort myself out in the morning). I usually just towel dry it as much as I can and then french plait it and leave it as is or put the tail up a bun. Mind you it's always still quite damp when I get home.

I work 3 double shifts a week (14 hours each) so I tend to not wash my hair these days in winter when I do its bunned and my hat is placed over it until I get on the train at 6.15am, this is a 2 hour journey so my hair is dry by the time i reach work.
Its easier in summer as I don't mind damp hair then, on a whole I prefer to wash in the evenings on my days off.

My hair takes like three hours to completely dry, even with how short and thin it is. But I don't care if it's wet while I'm out so I just ignore it. :)

My hair air dries in minutes. It takes longer if I bun it or plait it while wet.

I will wash my hair on wednesday evening, and then Saturday morning when im in the house all day :D my hair takes about 3 hours to dry because its quite thick, so washing in the mornings before college is no go for me.
