Hi Everyone,
The women of Bollywood (indian film industry) have beautiful hair. I am posting some pictures and thier names so you could look for ideas for styles and just be amazed by shiny goodness. When asked for thier beauty secrets, these actresses are tight lipped. Let's imagine they use all natural products ;) These are some of my hair inspirations, what do you think? Is there someone you would like to add?

I must admit I haven't actually seen a Bollywood film all the way through ... :o
But we have started screening new release ones regularly at the cinema where I work. So when I'm working, I can take a peek and get an eyeful of gorgeous long hair! :D

Well for me now adays this bollywood actresses are doing the same as hollywood which to me makes them not so pretty its not like back in the old days when they had natural long black beautiful hair. Now everyone is using straightners and dyes cutting and so on:rolleyes:

In other words they care for their hair like this:

mostly through getting the right foods in diet.

Ayurvedic is a your whole body and balances the dosha so that your body skin and hair are all in harmony with each other and that brings good hairs and skin. It includes diet excersise and taking care of hair skin everything. Its a great system and is 5000 years old if not more.

This is very interesting. Do you have any more websites talking about it? Do they recommend a certain brand of products? I have heard of Alma powder and some other interesting sounding stuff on Amazon but not sure what would be right for me?

Thanks,
Sissy

I'm certain Bollywood ladies take really good care of their hair, but I have to think genetics plays a major role in it. My own Northern European hair is babyfine and perfectly straight. Never under any hair-growing regimen is my hair going to look like these lovely dark-tressed beauties'. Realistically, it's not possible.

Rai has very nice hair that seems to vary from APL-BSL. I like it when she does a few highlights, but the full on brown is too much. Black hair is so beautiful (wish I had it myself, funny how being half Indo didn't make my hair closer to black!)

I don't really follow Bollywood much. India has made great movies that are more serious in vein, people just dont know about them.

Yeah me too I love watching them and dreaming that that is me with my hairs flowing in the wind and singing oooh my dream:cloud9: I think bollywood can be an ispiration to anyone. Just cause there hairs is long, black and wavy doesnt mean anything. Alot of people get inspired here with all these different heads of hairs.

I agree. Women in Bollywood movies do have gorgeous, thick, luscious hair and are very inspirational to anyone growing their hair regardless of texture or colour.

When we lived in Maryland I had an Indian tv channel that played Bollywood. I can't tell you the names of the movies because they were not translated but I liked to watch them. The dancing amazed me and I loved the hair. I agree with you, Aisha25, the older films hair was more genuine and gorgeous.

They have been an inspiration for me.

Yes, it seems like many Indian women have SO much hair (on top of it being beautiful) -- three times or more as thick as mine. I am very envious...
