In 2006 I decided to buzz my head so I could grow out natural color:

That lasted 6 months before I was convinced by naysayers that I shouldn't let it go gray as it implied that I quit caring. I began coloring again. This next pic is August 2007, not long before I cut out the color for a second time (I didn't want to buzz cut it again so was growing out the roots in preparation for another short cut), this time hoping to stick to my guns on not coloring.

In early September 2007, I went in and had her cut down to the root line. I hate myself in short hair and I always used the curling iron on it to pull out the messy curls and force the hair into some sort of submission:

As I mentioned, I no longer color and I no longer cut. Haven't had even a trim since the cut in September '07. My goal is tailbone and the curls are quite active until I take a brush to my head. If the hair looks a bit less curly in some pics, it is due to brushing or over handling.

Amazingly, it just decided to grow again! (And yes, it's very close to hip -- when wet/pulled down, at least. Otherwise, it still tends to look mid-back length.)

Unfortunately no progress for me as of yet, I've been trimming at tailbone to get rid old bleach damage (all 8" I gained were cut) and now that it's gone, 2009 will be my year!

I think all of your guy's hair is beautiful. sam-I-am I love you wedding pic. I have very short hair right now but I would love to grow it to my butt. My avatar is pretty much what my hair looks like long. I think the lady in the pics name is Ms James Brown Potter . Don't know how she is though. Just wanted to say you guys make me fell like I can grow my hair. I have this habbit to cut and dye my hair too :(. Well hope to get to know some of you.
