I'm undecided what I should do with my hair for New Years. I am going to a semi-formal to formal dance. I am debating with down or up. Also, usually for New Years I tend to rag curl my hair but I'm not sure if I want to do that again. My main option at the moment is some sort of half up, pin the front back or a sock bun. Opinions?

Here is the dress. Pardon the bad lighting (and funny expression)

Will there be fireworks? Might want to keep hair out of way for stray flame/spark.... I think up looks prettier with the dress, but then, you could do something like a half-updo or a crown braid with the rest of it down. That way you wouldn't be too much either way :)

I like the combo of half up and half down to show off the length of my hair. Traditionally, up is a more formal look. I know that wearing my hair up off the back of my neck helps me stay cooler in a really warm room. Any way you wear it will be fine as long as you're comfortable.
