I do not want anything drastic, only to let some hairdresser cut my ends and give it some style. I wan't to grow my hair long, but since I am only 16, didn' t see a hairdesser for a year and a hakf and study in Colombia where girls look just perfect }and I do not..], I think it is time to get my hair in shape an maybe a bit more modern.
Since I am growing out bangs and am quite happy with it, specially since I have round face, so I think I' ll that like that. But I am thinking maybe about layers around my face, or in th back to make my hair look fuller.
So...what do you guys think? My hair is now about the same as it is in my siggy, only a bit longer and the ends are not that even. Since my hardisk got damaged, I have no more photos, but here is a lonk to a facebook photo album, done not too long ago, with my hair curled and off my face, if you wish to look at my face to help me :)

maybe you could start with long layer and an go from there, i have them and love them.
Maybe some light layering around your face. the key is to be very descriptive and verbal with your hair dresser. don't be afraid to speak up if you feel there going to short. a very good stylist will ask alot of questions through the whole process and actually show you what she is doing.
good luck on your decision

I think you're very pretty ^.^

From experience with my hair, layers in the back make it look thinner not fuller because the ends become scraggly and bleh.

Layers around the face tend to soften the facial features, but you have such a lovely soft face already I don't think you'd need them. I suggest a blunt angled cut at about shoulder length (a little shorter in the back longer in front), it would look modern and give a nice contrast to the softness of your facial features.

Hope that helps ^.^

Thanks very much both for your tips and the compliment. :)

Fantak, are you sure that shoulder lenght is the best? It would br allready quite a big chop for me..,but if it would look why not, thought, I am trying to get my hair at least to waist lenght :)

No, longer will be fine, you can keep the front at about APL and the back a little shorter :) Now that you mention it, I actually think it will look nicer if it's APL at the front. Talk to your stylist about it too and see what s/her thinks, it's always good t get a second (third, fourth fifth *lol*) opinion. Make sure your stylist know you want to keep it long and that they are enthusiastic with that idea, if they seem to not like the idea then go to someone else. Just my :twocents: HTH ^.^

You have lovely hair. I think you should just have a good trim, no more than one inch, leaving you with a nice blunt hemline. Even that small amount can make your hair feel swingy and lively, and just nice. I think layers are not a good idea, as they generally make a person's hair look thinner, not thicker.

Can you do any updo's? These can make a beautiful change, and there are endless ways to put your hair up. Just a thought.

My hair looks WAY thicker with layers than without. The trick is to leave a good "weight-line" for the length. You have to separate-out a bit at the nape (say, a 2" wide strip from ear-to-ear) that you just don't TOUCH, and then layer the stuff that's higher up than that. This is what I've done. My ends are very thin naturally, though, but with layering they don't look a BIT different.

Having long layers and face-framers in the sides of mine are one of the best things I ever did. I love my hair so much more now. It has body and swing, and just looks generally better. But I mandated to my stylist absolutely NO layers in the back.

Make sure that your stylist talks to you, and do be very specific about what you want them to do before they start cutting.

Hmmm..I am getting slightly confused now :) thanks for the help, I' ll surely have something to think about. I' ll try to speak about it also with the hairdresser, but the problem is that I really do not trust them here. Not becuase I think that Colombia would have such bad hairdressers, but becuase it seems to me that they do not know how to work with european hair, since most colombians have very thick hair. Last time I left it on one guy, and it was a disaster, so this time I go to a different place where one european lady has her hair cut, but I would still like to have a clear idea to explain it to them, to avoid what happened last time.

I also think you're very pretty, so no need to worry about the "perfect" girls there. :) I'd leave your length where it is and just do some some soft long layers around the front of your face and maybe a couple in the back if you think they'll help. I don't think you need anything drastic. Your haircolor is really nice too btw!
