tomorrow night I've got a Winter Wonderland Ball to go to, and after finally sorting out my outfit (last minute rush!) I'm not sure what to do about my hair... I'd quite like at least some of it down because I think having it all up might look a bit naked with the neckline of my dress but just having it down might look a bit boring, so ideas anyone? TIA :)

Well . . . if you don't want some sort of half-up, how about a victorian bun with tendrils?

Or several of these styles look simple enough to accomplish--

I like the Edwardian, the Juliette, and the Topknot for partly up, partly down styles.

Perhaps put some of your hair in a "Gibson Tuck" and leave the rest down in the back?
I've done this to my sister's hair and it looked lovely.

ooh the Juliet looks really nice... I've got the day off tomorrow so I can have a hairstyle practice sesh. Thanks for your ideas!

I suggested this in another thread, but applies here too!
how about a gibson braid with the top 1/2. Put a pretty sparklie in the top of the tucked part. Then the bottom half stays down, of course. :)
