I made a ponytail and then a loop over my fingers. I twisted the loop one time, then I twisted the tail around the loop. When I ran out of tail, I brought the loop down, forcing it around the wrapped up tail.

I'm pretty certain this isn't a ew bun...but what is it's name?

Inside-out bun, perhaps? But I'm not getting a clear idea of exactly what you did. :blushing:

Do you know how to do an easy hair stick bun? It's the same if you remove the hair tie.

Sounds like a log roll with a tie added to it

As long as it holds, doesn't matter which bun it is ;) Looks good!

Sounds kinda like an Orchid bun to me? Or am I completely off-track here? (I'm having a hard time visualizing instructions) ;)

A pretty one? Sorry, I have no idea, as currently I can do cinnabuns and sock buns and my hair's too short for anything else.

I think its an Gibraltar Bun
on the old board was a tutorial for this bun, similar to the easy hairstick bun but without dividing the loop

It sounds kinda like an inside-out bun to me too. I'll second "a pretty one" as well. Updos in general look great in your hair. :)

Sounds like an inside-out/nautilus bun to me, but you may have done it with less twisting than some folks.

Haha, thanks! :)
You can have it too. Just remember that it's permanent....and wave-loosing.

I don't know much of the terminiology, but it reminds me of an Equilibrium bun. I don't remember who came up with it, but it sounds just like it. Pretty, leastways! And I LOVE your hair color!

It's quite nice, Hypnotica.

I really like your hair fork! It's a beautiful color.
