I noticed in the profile settings that there's a whole section for indicating your hair type, etc.

How do you determine all of these things? I'm hoping I can shed some light on what's happening with my hair - it been shedding excessively for the last six years... I've been checked for thyroid and diabetes and those results came back normal (thank goodness) maybe it's part of getting old? lol

Here are pictures of my hair (they were taken for the garment actually - I sew!)

Here's (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=5) the hairtyping guide (it's under the articles). There's also a link for pictures of each hairtype on the article.

Also, nice dress! :) Welcome to LHC.

Welcome, Kellie Brunette! I do love your dress - this is totally off topic, but what pattern is this?
I hope you find the cause and solution to your hair loss problem :) Welcome again :)

your hair looks like it's in pretty good shape, despite shedding.

The other important thing is to hairtype yourself when your hair is freshly washed, airdryed, and untreated. You look like you COULD be a 'barely wavy' like me, so this 'untreated' hair is even more important for hairtyping for us inbetween types...

Your hair is beautiful and in very good condition! :) I wouldn't worry too much about it, it' normal to shed some hair... Also, love the dress! You did a very good job! Have you ever thought about owing your own dress shop? I think you would be very good at it. :)
