This is a braid I did about a month ago on my BF - braided to the ends for the first time. I was really proud of how tight and even it came out! Normally I do halfups on him and his hair is so thick and slippery that it's hard to braid.

We were going out into the country and he wanted it out of his face - as it gets longer - it's about APL - he is liking wearing braids more.

I've been really down on the thinness of my hair lately but here I can see that even BF's thick hair looks "thin" in a braid, at least in the pic. In real life it really didn't. Now if I can only get his hair genes to come over onto MY head... ;)

That looks great, Katze! You did an excellent job! It looks really snug and I can totally understand why he's liking wearing braids more.

thanks! :)

I didn't think I could do it, but I did, on the first try!

I continue to be impressed with how thin BF's hair looks in that pic, because it's not thin, but as fine as mine (mostly babyfine with some M at the nape) so the various fine strands pulled tightly together must be making it look thinner than it is. His hair down is a tangled mess of wurly ringlets, so seeing how thin it looks makes me feel better about my thin-looking braids...

Well that's just fabulous! I braided my son's long hair once while we were on vacation in Mexico, but he decided it was much too girly. Too bad.
