I was just thinking of the good habits I've adopted and the bad habits I've dropped since joing last spring.

Good habits I've adopted:

1) Using exclusively SLS free shampoos even when 've got just a tiny bit of SLS shampoo left. Never again.

2) Cone free conditioners. No more Aussie Moist for this head.

3) Daily oilings. This one was tough, but the results have been worth it. Even my frazzled ends are responding. :)

4) Scalp massage. Get the blood circulating and keep those follicles stimulated. ;)

5) relaxation, stress is such a hair killer.

6) putting food on my hair instead of in my mouth ;)

7) essential oils ! great stuff.

Bad habits I've quit :

1) The flatiron !! :(

2) The curling iron.

3) brushes, sorry, but these just aren't for me :poot:

4) elastic bands - ouch :o

5) nervously pulling / twisting strands of hair while thinking. I think less now, but I have more hair. LOL. :p

What good habits have you adopted and what bad habits have you dropped??

I've been a member of NC for quite a few years, so I got my sls and cone free philosophy from them, but I what I've picked up from LHC:

What's good:

seamless combs
hair friendly toys
Oil in general and how to use it.
herb rinses
how to detangle in a less damage way
protecting hair by wearing up
Every updo I do I learned here!

What's bad:
Leaving hair down all the time
Using a lot of styling products
