Hey everyone! After a long and stressful semester (of which there are still four more weeks), I treated myself to purchasing a hairstick from Brandywine Woodworking on etsy:

Isn't it lovely? Malachite is one of my favorite stones.
There's no shipping, which is really nice, and I got an email from Chris saying it was already packed up and ready to ship, and offering me a 15% discount on another purchase! So then I got this one:

Which is neat because it almost looks reversible; I can wear it with either the dark or the light side facing out!
Anyway, I just wanted to share the pretties and the good experience with you; I'll definitely post some action shots when they arrive!

Beautiful! I hadn't seen this Etsy artist before. Now I've added them to my favorites list. :)

That is beautiful! I have a couple of Brandywine sticks, and they are just lovely. Big thumbs up from me, too! :D

That's great! I wondered who'd gotten those. I'd been eying them but recently got these from him, which I love!:

Ooh, those are lovely too! I've also been admiring this one, though I can't justify another stick right now:

I just think the open spiral design is gorgeous, particularly in the photo where it was held up to the sun!

the functional lengths look a little short though. can you update us on how they work when you get them?

That openwork yellowheart stick is wonderful! What a lot of work went in to that!

The functional length can be a little short depending on the stick. Mine work very well for my hair and I have room to grow into them.
Some of his sticks are rather long and a little more traditionally shaped so I'd say it depends.

Probably a good idea to ask him about functional length before you buy.

It's here! It's here! I'm not very good at taking pictures of the back of my head, so forgive me for chopping off my left ear (just call me Vincent, ha ha!). But here's a picture of my stick!

It's a very chubby little stick, and I have to do my cinnamon bun a little looser to wiggle it in. But it's just lovely in person, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another stick from Brandywine, or to recommend them to others!
Arrgh, this picture is huge! Can somebody help with resizing?

It looks great - the colour on the top really stands out. :)
