Hey, guys! I was looking on here the other day and found this beautiful bun that resembled a treble clef, but I forgot to bookmark it and now I can't remember where I saw it. I'm a big music nut and I would love to give this bun a shot, but without either instructions or a reference pic I doubt I'll be able to do it. Does anyone know where I can find it? Or even better, does anyone have an idea how it might be done?

Was it a flipped bun?

I'm wondering if it's the cloverleaf bun.

It may have been a variant of that. It is awfully close, just with the top being smaller than the bottom. Btw, I have a hairstick that is almost identical to that! :rockerdud

I'm not sure. I don't know if I've ever seen that one... Are there instructions for it anywhere on here?

I was trying to find a site that had a good description that worked for me, for a figure-8 and came across this (http://www.geocities.com/thespookstress/frenchtwistlonger.html). Maybe that's the site you were thinking of?

I did a Treble Clef once when I was learning how to do Figure 8s. :)
Picture is in my album here (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=145&pictureid=4014).

ETA: Ummm, instructions? Twist and coil hair like you are doing a cinnabun, but make second coil sit on top of the first. Flip up the first coil and if your hair has a distinct taper like mine, you should get the treble clef shape. Excess hair just gets wrapped/tucked underneath any way you can manage.

Wow! That is awesome! I can't wait until my hair is longer to try that.

I've done the treble clef bun a while back and have a pic in my album, too, but I'm just a tease that way since it's got requirements. Heh. AprilElf nailed the instructions. I did mine like that, starting out cinnabun style, but at the end I just took the rest of my hair and manually bunned it to get the top part and hid the ends under the bottom bit.

Habioku posted something about a treble clef bun a while ago. Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nop-I6Dftb4&feature=plcp) is her instructional video. :) My hair is still a bit too short for it to work, but I'm excited at the possibilities!
