Is this normal?

DH has a thinning patch in one of the usual make pattern baldness spots. However, instead of being soft smooth skin- his is rough, thick and feels... just off. What is up with this? How do we fix it?

Might not be male pattern baldness after all. It sounds like a skin condition might be causing it.
