Hi all!
I haven't been around for a while- a lot going on- but while I have been so busy, it seems my hair has kept on growing! A little info: It is very thick, past BSL but not quite waist, straightish with some wave depending on the day, and blonde (light on top and darker on the bottom). I have long bangs, too.
Here is the deal, though. I am going to a big event this week and I am actually going to get my hair done for it! I want it to look formal, but not *too* formal (no supercurly high-school prom 'dos). Does anyone have any ideas or pictures of something that might be appropriate?
My dress is low v-cut in the front and back. I'm probably going to get a brooch to stick in my hair somwhere. I'd like a kind of vintage-looking hairstlye perhaps, but I am open to anything. And despite my comment above, it CAN involve curls. I am just trying to avoid something like this:

(Though this model has very pretty hair and it is a nice style, it isn't at all what I am going for.)
I am open to anything- all down, all up, but I'm thinking maybe half up-half down.
Any ideas?
Thank you for any input!
