National Geographic Article about Curly Hair being an evolutionary advantage

I've been a lurker on this wonderful forum, but when I saw this NatGeo article about curly hair being an evolutionary advantage I had to post! Sorry I know that not everyone may be able to read the article without a subscription, but for whoever can read it here it is, LOL:

There was additional material on this topic on Science Friday from a couple weeks ago: https://www.sciencefriday.com/segments/curly-hair-scalp-cool/ Regardless, very interesting. There wasn't any discussion though (at least on Science Friday) on fine vs. coarse hair or hair color on the ability to keep the head cool.
