Grey or almost white hair naturally. Could it work this way? If I keep henna in my hair for example half an hour?... Could it go strawberry blonde or does it go orange? Experiences?...

All it ever took was at "most" 30 minutes. I left my henna in 15-30 minutes, never any more, and I had to bleach it out 2 times, full-strength bleach, and it still was not all gone. There is no "short processing time" with henna. If you throw it on there, it will stain. It is a stain, much rather than a dye in the regular sense of the word.

If it takes at all, it takes orange.

Ok thanks interesting! I always keep my hennadye overnight because of my stubborn greys! I've really thought that only this way henna hair dye works with them. I mean when I want to make them darker than strawberry blonde...
Well IS there any way to dye grey hair non-orange strawberry blonde with natural hairdyes? ... 😉
Experimenting going to happen... 🤔😁

I assume a mix of cassia and henna would be the way to go, with more cassia than henna in the mix. But if you already have a few coats of pure henna, than maybe even try pure cassia.
Here's a recent thread (https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=155862) and here's one where someone tested a henna cassia mix (https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=65807)

I second that, the way to go would imo be mixing Henna & Cassia, I do this for a not super bright, natural ginger. Now I don't have grey hair yet, but pure Henna on my natural blonde goes boom even when left on shorter, it just shows up more yellow-y than orange, not less intense. I think it would come out even brighter on grey/white.

Ok thanks! What I've been trying cassia, it gave me no stain. So I don't actually know if it will benefit me, but of course it can work as a dilution for henna powder 🤔 But yes i guess that's what i'm looking for, if i want something lighter red than henna...

You could try cassia and a spoon or two of henna for each 100grs and I would add hibiscus to dye release with it.

Cassia with manjistha (Rubia cordifolia) gives strawberry blonde :D

Ok I did this... Got tired of my green-yellow cassia-dyed hair. Different pictures show a little different results, plus that earlier today (right after dyeing my hair) colour was different than in the evening. (Last pictures with blue shirt are before pictures, I took them during a couple of weeks.) I kept well prepared henna maybe 1,5 hours -for me it's a lot less than usually. I was too tired in the morning and just didn't get me up to rinse henna off after forty minutes like I intended.
Anyway I already am tired of strawberry blond, it feels like blond haircolour just doesn't suit me because on me it looks so faded. I want to get gipsy dark hairdye right away! 😂
And i'm sorry i see now that you can see no difference from those pictures.
