Little house on the prarie and Walton's hair inspiration

Anyone else inspired by the hairstyles on both shows? I'm rewatching little house on the prairie and i remember wanting pigtails and long hair like little Laura. After watching both little house and the Walton's, I love the girls natural hair. It looks thick, healthy and long.
Laura had thick braids. And Mary had beautiful golden long hair as a child. I loved the simple hair accessories they used and the wooden brushes. Alot of the other kids on the show had nice hair too.
The waltons- Elizabeth had the thickest braids too.

I love both of these shows. And the hair, I wish I knew how Ma does her bun ( even though it was probably not real). The childrens' hair is glorious! Its a shame we don't see it loose more often.

I love the innocence and simplicity of these shows. Ma had pretty hair too but never knew if the bun was real.
I realized most of the young kids on the show had pretty, long natural hair. Carrie, Cassandra. I loved how back in the that time, the little kids had hair bows and pretty dresses. And I think pigtails look so cute on kids.

Always reminds me of mom's great-grandmother (a midwife), she had hair to her ankles, which she combed out to the side and bunned (with simple U-pins) in the matter of seconds!

I've never watched the Walton's but I used to watch Little House all the time and drool over the hair. It was one of my many hair inspirations as a kid.
