Sometimes when I'm dressing up I like to wear my hair down, or partly down. The thing is, I'm a no-trims kinda gal and I have very thin, fine hair, especially at the ends. I know there's no magical cure for this, but does anyone have a product they like to use for short-term volumizing, like a mousse or texture powder? Thanks!!

I love Powder Play by Big Sexy Hair, it works great for my fine and thin hair. The only down side is I usually have to wash the next day because it leaves a slightly sticky film on my roots. I have also tried the 'Lite' version and like it as well but don't get quite as much volume with less stickiness.

Big sexy hair? Is that the name of the company? Hmmm. :hmm: Well, in any case, they have a volumizing powder, but got2b make a similar one (and it's veeeery good).

@sipnsun that sounds pretty good! too bad about the stickiness, but I guess any styling product will do that

Hey lapushka, it is a product company. I've used a lot of their products but only currently use their powders and hair sprays on the rare occasion I fix my hair anymore.
Spellbound, it works so well the stickiness is worth it, a little goes a long way though!

No, we can't get it where I live, but my mom has issues with volume (and very thin i, not even i/ii hair), she often gets "bald spots" where the hair no longer covers her scalp, on top of that she has cowlicks in a few odd places (right on the side of her head, in back, not even totally in back). So, right where it matters.
I have just heard very good things, saw comparisons between the two powders many times (on YT) and the got2b came out very nice all of the time. Even better than the sexy hair one!

Bed head small talk leave-in or queen for a day spray, Kerastase densifique mousse, Color wow raise the roots spray
Shampoos: redken volume, kerastase densifique, bed head fully loaded shampoo.
I dont like the Got2b powder, it's pretty atrocious for me: sticky, leaves my roots stiff and nasty.

It happens that I've found a set this two (with the matching conditioner) with a big discount few hours ago and I've bought them. It seems to be the old line, tho, but I'm faithful.
