3-year anniversary on the LHC

This is overdue (I didn't even do a 2-year anniversary, pretty sure) by a few months - in January I reached 3 years, anyway that doesn't matter too much. So basically until I was 17, in 2019 I was in this cycle of constantly cutting my hair so I was unable to grow it long. I have 3b/3c hair which has always been very difficult to manage. I cut my hair from about APL to shoulder-length in April 2019:

I regretted it so I began growing my hair long. At least it was really healthy and soft. It was taking ages to reach APL again. I put my scissors in a drawer for fear of cutting my hair again. In June 2020 my hair was beginning to get long. Sorry for skipping so many months but in 2020 my hair hovered between APL and BSL so not much happened:

I started to tint my hair with semi-permanent hair tint and had a blast (around April 2021):

Although it kind of made my hair look like seaweed since I was tinting over brown hair. Eventually I got better at tinting my hair.

I got bangs cut in like my favourite character from my favourite video game, Final Fantasy VII Remake, in November 2021 which is one of the biggest changes I've ever had. They used to be shorter but now I've decided to grow them out and now they're longer they kind of suit my face shape, almost makes me want to keep them??? I've straightened my hair in the below pic.

This is my hair in April 2022. I experiment with hairstyles and I'm at BSL, pretty sure. I'm waist-length when it's straightened or wet. Tinted red:

I tinted my hair red in March, I think. I'm kind of busy nowadays.
I want to have healthier hair one day. I'm planning to dye it blue and reach waist-length. I still want butt-length hair. I like having long hair, I think it suits me more than short hair. I have awful hair days but I think one day it will get better :D
I'm now 20 and have the long hair I've been wanting for a while. Hope you enjoyed reading - as a curly I believed I could never make it to long hair without cutting all the dry, tangled hair off... I'm still planning my next steps, lol. And as for the scissors, I no longer feel like I have to hide them. I braid my hair a lot nowadays.

Wow, congrats! It's amazing how differently your hair texture behaves at different lengths and with different styling. Very lovely! And I think the face-framers suit you a lot : )

Thanks - I considered that but when I dry my hair into its curls it just feels ugh, I like to have sleek and easy-to-manage hair so yeah..
