This morning I scraped some lint of my nice sandalwood comb with my thumbnail. Clearly I need to clean it. How? How do you clean wood without messing it up?

Oil! Get the obvious lint off as you already did, wipe it down with oil and let that sit for 10 min or so, then wipe it off with a tissue. Mineral oil works well.

I always did that this makes my hair oily. So I oil my comb, clean it, then rinse it with shampoo. I dry it asap and it seems to work alright.
