2 years growing

I know, I know, I’ve been a member since March and not July. I didn’t take any pictures prior to July 11 though, so here I am today :D

Here I just started out, trying to recover from a desastreus recipe change in my favourite conditioner. It’s very dry here, and overall not happy. I was cutting away damage from dryness until January I think, and then stopped using silicones. That was also trial and error, but now my hair doesn’t get weighed down. That brought me to citric acid, cause I got chalk deposit build up on my lengths. So next photo is exactly one year later.

Stopping with silicones got me in touch with the curly girl method. I dabbled a little in that during the summer of 2020, after I took the second picture. My scalp hates it when my hair is directed up for longer than ten seconds so pineappling was out of the question and I hate too much hair under my head so a bonnet is also not the answer. I stopped styling it curly cause it was far too time consuming to only get one day out of it.
I also bought myself some professional scissors to do S&D and give myself trims.

So this was a week ago, but still. The only waves I have now are braid waves xD

Curls or waves, your hair looks very beautiful and thick. I also downplay my wave pattern due to practicality (detangling and protective hairstyling), and I'm happy this way.

Thank you all! I’ve been blessed with my genes.

And I’ve cut more than 15 cm during those years, cause the hair dresser was a bit more trigger happy than I wanted, but it had to go so it’s was fine.
