No actually! That would be interesting though. Perhaps it's because most of my length is bleached?

By contrast, when wet my hair is definitely darker

I haven't noticed any color change after hydration... well only when it is completely wet :)

Nah my hair is too dark to show a difference even if it did change

Mine is distinctly darker brown when wet and about a shade darker when it's a little bit oily or a few days using non-sulfate shampoo. I've got light brown / blonette naturally but when it's not dried out it takes me into distinct brunette territory.

Uh, yeah, but it's normal for hair to be darker when wet. :)

Other than that, when dry and more hydrated I have not seen it be darker, no.

I guess I don't technically know if my hair is more hydrated, but when my hair is oily it's noticeably darker than when it's been freshly stripped of everything. Since my hair tends to look a bit like it's wet when it's oily, maybe it's the same principle as wet hair looking darker?

With your dark hair, that's not too surprising. But well "hydrated" (wet) or oiled I'd bet it's pretty shiny

Um...kinda, it's not very noticeable but it is darker than when it's dry.

Uh yeah, I've noticed a difference in my hair color is darker when it's definitely wet, and when it's hydrated with a cream or an oil but when it's doesn't have any oils in it or when it's dehydrated it looks a lot lighter.

I do! Dry or de-hydrated hair is always lighter.

I’ve never really taken that much noticed, but on reflection, my hair does go darker when wet.

When my hair has a lot of product build-up it is much darker, my hair is a very light shade of copper. When it's wet is looks brown.
