hair ponytail too tight

I tied my hair into a pony tail three times over with new hair tie and it was quite tight. I took it off quickly though. Do you think doing this would of weakened the hair follicles, It was a low pony tail. My hair is past chest length. I don;t know why but I did it to experiment and it just made me anxious after doing it that the hair was being squeezed too tight or something.

It was a new hair tie so had a lot of elasticity

Unless you started wearing your hair too tight on a daily basis it shouldn't have caused lasting damage :)

It was a brief, one-time occurrence. I seriously doubt it did anything at all.
