I wore my hair in a cinnabun with a bent knitting needle today (if you're interested to see, there's a picture of the same style in my album). My friend told me about what her younger sister said when she saw me wearing a knitting needle in my hair (she asked me what it was).

Apparently, she thinks it's gross because I didn't sterilise it before putting it in my hair: 'it would have germs on it from the wool!'

Anyway, I'd love to stay on LHC a while longer, but I have to go and sterilise my woolen jumper, so I'll catch up with you guys later

AHAHAHAH! I am officially a germ-phone but that is insane. Was she worried about previous knitters using the needles or is she afraid of sheep germs? I will giggle about that for the rest of the day while I am sterilising my house.

Ahhh! I knit ALL THE TIME! I've never sterilized my needles! I have sheep germs! AHHHH!!!!

I can't help but wonder what she imagines goes on between knitters and sheep.

bad mental image there...
tell her you are part of People for the Ethical Treatment of Wool, and you took a painful instrument out of circulation.

I wonder if she washes her combs and brushes a lot.

 Talk about paranoia  Does she sterilize her wool sweater and mittens? I think I would not have been able to contain my laughter at that comment. People can say the dumbest things :hmm:

Hahahaha! Now you have sheep germs and you will develop sheeptitis! First you will get a predilection to eat grass, then your hair will turn white and woolly and soon you will be following people around and thinking everything they say is right. Oh when will people understand the dangers of sheeptitis!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny! On a side note,I wore my hair in a woven bun and got some comments about my 'hairsticks' which were,in fact, knitting needles that I'd sawn the ends off!

C'mon didn't your parents ever tell you not to share or reuse needles? That is totally unsanitairy.

I agree, the disease you would get from this would have to be sheepatitis.
