I have seen the frequent washers thread, so thought I’d start one for those of us who don’t wash our hair that often, for example not weekly washers. Also for folk who would like some support for trying to reduce the frequency of their hair washing.

Whether you infrequently hair wash for practical reasons, hair / scalp health reasons or you just CBA to faff with washing it on a regular basis  Add your experiences here... What you do in between washes to maintain your mane, favourite benign neglect styles, tips for stretching washes etc. If anyone has done No Wash / Sebum Only please pop in!

My hair is MBL. I usually wash it every 7-10 days but stretching to 14+ days is also fine. I do Water Only for scalp washing. Occasionally I’ll slap some conditioner on the length if I’m doing a Rinse Out Oil treatment. In between washes it’s in a variety of very basic styles depending what I’m doing.. simple plait, buns or loose. It gets combed daily, and every 2-3 days I do a scalp massage and BBB. That’s it!

Wow, daisy rei! Your hair is simply gorgeous! Your length is my goal for 2021! I used to have a good girlfriend of mine with hair that long back in high school but her hair color was either medium brown or dark brown. BTW, what is your hair length? Is it HL or TBL?

Oh thanks Daisy rei, I looked but couldn’t find a thread! Your hair looks wonderful

Can any of the mods move my post to it to rekindle the stretching washes thread as no-ones posted on it for over 2 years?
