Like above. Should I use a foam or something like that? Are gels ok or not? I need a styler because my hair are absolutely unmanagleable, so I'm hoping maybe proper styling will help... But I get oily hair so easily, I'm not sure what to use.

Flaxseed or aloe Vera gel are your best bet. Avoid oils as well.

You could try aloe vera with a tiny amount of argan oil mixed in. Argan isn’t a heavy oil. Too much aloe will make your hair stiff so experiment with amounts.

Hey *waves*.
Flaxseed makes my scalp itchy. Never used aloe, how do you guys choose a good one? There are so many different ones on the market right now. Does aloe have any hold at all? Isn't it just moisturizing?

My hair gets weighted down veeery easily. My favorite stylers are mousses, everything else I tried doesn't work. Gel seems to weight it down initially and then it seems to disappear, leaving my hair frizzy and less wavy.

I would vote a volume mousse!
You betcha!
I am completely opposite, I need to weigh mine down, the more product I can throw on there, the better, even though I use mere "dollops" of product layers when doing LCO.

Is your hair still really short? Mine is just about 1.5 inches and I've been using a styling paste that is geared for guys.
It really is different from other styles I've used. It does make your hair feel waxy and kinda weird but not oily or stiff and it washes out easily.
If I'm really lazy, I won't wash it out at night and I can usually restyle it again the next day with minor manipulation.
I'm using old spice brand, smells like mens cologne but not over powering or heavy

Hey Obsidian. It's kinda longer short now? A mullet? Like a vocalist here: https://youtu.be/SBjQ9tuuTJQ
But I'm considering a short pixie if I won't be able to stand them in a bob (that's what I was originally planning, wear them in a bob for a while and experiment on them). In a pixie I'll at least still have hair to play with, not like in a buzzcut, hahah. So I've def been thinking about trying men's stylers, just don't know how to pick and use them. I don't know how to choose 'female' stylers either, so... Yeah. Glad it worked for you, sounds interesting.
Bri, I was considering a mousse... I'm thinking this is drying, so maybe? But I'm also worried these might be damaging over time... I'm unsure. My grandma always used mousses on her hair.
I wonder if my problems with being unable to bun are due to me not using any stylers.
