It is my first day today using rice water on my hair after watching a large number of YT videos on how it stimulates hair growth. Just wanted second opinions. Anyone who have tried rice water and witnesses good results?

There is a thread HERE (https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=134907&highlight=fermented+rice+water)that you may be interested in. :)
I don't know about hair growth yet, but after every wash, I spray FRW on my scalp & hair, massage it in thoroughly, then put condition over it, detangle and put hair up for the rest of my shower and rinse at the end. It works like a gentle daily dose of protein for me, makes hair feel stronger.

I've been using rice water on and off for a while, and I really love it. I actually am starting back up using it again tonight in my next wash. I rinse my hair with it after conditioning, and try to soak my ends in a cup of it for a couple of mins. It makes my hair softer and shinier.

I've heard it's a protein thing, in which case COUNT ME OUT!!! :tmi: My hair absolutely hates protein.

I've been doing a fermented rice water rinse (after shampoo, before conditioning) for a few months now and although I haven't noticed an increase in my growth rate, my hair loves it! I only use it a couple of times of month because I think it would be too drying for my hair to use it more often. It seems to mimic a clarifying shampoo which makes my hair shiny but a little dry and why I have to follow up with conditioner.

Maybe (probably) this is a dumb question but how do you know if your hair hates/loves protein?
