I finally made it to waist length! I'm so, so happy!

I was wondering, for those of you that have done it before. How long did it take you to reach classic from waist? (I know it all depends on many factors and where each length sits on a persons body, but I was just hoping to see what others experiences were like)

I'm not at classic yet, but knowing my hair's behaviour, I would guesstimate the journey to take around 2.5 or 3 years.

Looking back at old pictures, it appears that I hit waist around March 2016 and classic around September 2018. So 2.5 years.

Looking at old pictures, I'd say around three year, including a lot of trimming to go from a U hemline to a blunt.

It took about a year for my hair to grow from around hip length (or maybe slightly below waist, that general range) to classic. I don't remember exactly how long it took, but I'd estimate between a year to a year and a half. I'm short though so it's not as far of a distance on me.

I went from hip to classic from November 2016 to March 2018, so almost 1.5 years. So 2 years sounds about right. If you don't trim in between. This is without trimming!

Super happy for you : I know how nice it is when your hair reaches a milestone, especially a key one like this ! Key ones, as I intend the notion, are milestones such as shoulders, waist, classic, knees and floor. But it's all a matter of appreciation ! ^^

Personally, growing from waist to classic took me a wee bit beyond 2 years, taking into account the fact that I have been micro-trimming every 3-4 months. ;)

It took me close to 2 1/2 years to go from waist to classic length. I trimmed a total of 4-5 inches off inbetween those lengths. I reached waist in March 2017 at 28 1/2", then classic July 2019 at 40"ish.
